How does the Wikicaves association work?

Like any association! Every year, we invite all interested parties to participate in the General Meetings. Only members of the association may vote. The Board of Directors is composed of nine members this year and meets whenever necessary. The last meeting was held from September 29 to October 5, 2025. For several years Grottocenter has hosted the BBS, development work continues and today more than 200,000 documents about Karst are referenced

The International Union of Speleology has been working for several decades to propose standardized symbols that can be used to describe surface phenomena, to make plans of caves and artificial cavities and recently to ensure the conservation of the underground environment.
