Inventory of the Caves of Bolivia and Peru

Jean-Loup Guyot provided the GSBM documents, but above all, he did a tremendous amount of work to ensure that Grottocenter provides a complete inventory of the caves of Bolivia and Peru.
For Bolivia this only represents 56 Caves https://grottocenter.org/ui/countries/BO However, the GSBM has conducted numerous explorations in Peru, and it is now possible to discover the results on Grottocenter, where 922 caves have been recorded https://grottocenter.org/ui/countries/PE This is based on information archived on https://cuevasdelperu.org/ by the GSBM, the Vulcans, the Dolomites, and the ECA Lima. Thank you again, Jean-Loup, for sharing this and for the time you devoted to it.

The UIS Symbols

The International Union of Speleology has been working for several decades to propose standardized symbols that can be used to describe surface phenomena, to make plans of caves and artificial cavities and recently to ensure the conservation of the underground environment. Work has just been done to provide access to all this information at a single address https://ontology.uis-speleo.org/symbols/ Each symbol has its own URL and can be accompanied by detailed information
