Symposium on the history of caving in Italy - May 2020

The "ALCADI 2020" international symposium will take place on 30th April - 1-2-3 May 2020 in Italy . It is organized by the Società Speleologica Italiana (SSI) with the support of UIS (Union International de Speleologie ) .

The symposium’s focus is on the history of caving from its origins until the end of the second world war (1945).

BBS: more than 200,000 documents are referenced

For several years Grottocenter has hosted the BBS, development work continues and today more than 200,000 documents about Karst are referenced

The Underground Heritage Library (Namur) under the ODbL license

As part of ongoing efforts to facilitate data exchange between documentation centers dealing with the underground world and karst, the Namur Underground Heritage Library has recently placed its database under the ODbL license. This allows for automatic data exchange with other libraries using the same license, particularly with BBS data accessible on Grottocenter.
